Son of James Herrett and Laura Alma Keith, 3225, Alder St., Victoria, British Columbia.

James Maurice Keith was the only son of James Herrett Keith and Laura Alma Keith of Atchelitz. Like several of Chilliwack's early enlistments, James Keith was a member of the local militia. A memorial service was held in his honour at Atchelitz Hall on May 16, 1915 and was attended by many of his friends. His memory was perpetuated by a chapter of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire. The chapter was named the Keith-MacLeod Chapter in recognition of two Chilliwack residents who were killed. His parents later moved to Victoria, B.C.

Service Number 628918. Originally enlisted with the 47th Battalion C.E.F.
Tilloy British Cemetery, Tilloy-Les-Mofflaines, France. Age 31
Mrs. M. Kennedy, Chilliwack, B.C.

G.A. Kennedy served for 3 weeks with the 104th Westminster Fusiliers of Canada and was a farmer prior to joining the C.E.F.

Service Number 2035157. Originally enlisted with the 104th Regimental Draft
Vis-En-Artois British Cemetery, Haucourt, France. Age 27
Next of Kin Unknown

Ernest King joined a C.E.F. draft of Chilliwack's local militia unit the 104th Regiment. He came to Canada with Mrs. Grigg, who with her husband were lost in the sinking of the Empress of Ireland. No relatives were known of in either Canada or in the United Kingdom. While in Chilliwack Ernest King worked on several ranches and lived in the home of Mr. J.W. Bennewith.

Service Number 911801. Originally enlisted with the 196th Battalion C.E.F.
Vimy Memorial, France. Age 20
Son of William and Mary Jane Knight, Chilliwack, B.C.

In May 1918, the parents of Albert Leslie Knight were informed that their son was reported wounded and missing in action since March 25, 1918.
