Mountaineers: Community Experience in Chilliwack’s Mountains

Encompassed by the Stó:lō First Nation’s S’ólh Téméxw (Our World), the local Cascade Mountains have been accessed by human populations for over 10,000 years. With their rugged natural beauty and bountiful natural resources, communities have continuously found themselves drawn to this terrain.  Mountaineers: Community Experience in Chilliwack’s Mountains focuses on 20th century accounts and uses of the local mountains by community groups in Chilliwack. An array of photographs, journals and physical ephemera will be on display.
